ZOË FERGUSON MAKES DEBUT WITH ‘DIP’

Born with music in her blood, raised in Portland, newcomer Zoë Ferguson initially began writing tunes only a few short years ago as a way to cope with life as a teenager and all of the stresses that come along with it.  After teaching herself piano, the young songstress began to create original tunes and share them with the world via Soundcloud.  Now, having worked with a number of world class producers, it seems Zoë Ferguson has found her sound – and she is ready to show the masses what she’s made of.

Now, at just 18 years old, Zoë has two official singles available and continues to line up releases to keep the momentum moving.  Her debut single, “Dip”, is a stand out single from the budding artist and undoubtedly sets the tone for her career going forward.  Over a moody, muted production that relies on mellow chords and slapping drums, Zoë Ferguson pens a youthful and relatable tune about throwing in the towel and moving on despite the feelings that have come to take grip.  The new age break up jam is equal parts swag and sauce and shows that Zoë Ferguson is without a doubt here to makes some waves.

About the tunes, she offers, “I want people to hear my music and be able to relate to the words.”

Bio

Zoë Ferguson began writing songs a few years back as a way to cope with high school experiences and breakups. Her father, musician/singer Bart Ferguson, is a familiar performer in the Portland music scene where Zoë grew up with music and songwriting in her blood. Teaching herself piano, Zoë self-recorded and uploaded some of her tunes to SoundCloud, which launched her journey as an original artist. After she was chosen to participate in Atlantic Records’ EMERGE program, Zoë continued to develop her unique voice, recording demos in a studio where her passion for performance and composition only grew. With the help of professional producers her sound came to life, and at age 17, her first single as an independent artist, “Dip”, proudly showcases her talents as a singer/songwriter. Zoë’s second single ‘Medicine’ is out on all platforms and she can’t wait to release more! Stay tuned!
